Animatronic Wings – Mika Summer 2025

Mika wanted to colour match his wings to a new suit, screen content and a new show for Summer 2025. We were supplied with a swatch of his suit fabric which we colour matched, hand dyed and airbrushed real and synthetic feathers to create this updated set.

We created 10-foot-wide animatronic wings for Mika’s Apocalypse Calypso Tour 2024, featuring a 200-foot operational range via remote, allowing the wings to be controlled from nearly anywhere within the arena. The custom framework built upon our proven wing mechanics, incorporating a three-stage movement system to mimic the unfolding of real wings.
Crafted from a combination of machined aluminum and carbon fiber, the wings were finished with both real and hand-made synthetic feathers. They were supplied with a custom touring case and stand for ease of transport and setup.
