Creative Director Jake Linzey interviewed about his work in props and puppetry, key moments in his career and how Leviathan Workshop came to be.
Bath Spa University asked Jake and Carrie-Anne to come and talk to their students. Jake spoke in depth about this personal journey that led him to found Leviathan Workshop and the many successes the company has had whilst also remaining relevant in an ever-changing industry. Carrie-Anne gave a workshop on Networking, Professional Presentation and how to see opportunities to get hired to the 3rd year students. We wish them every success.
Leviathan Workshop were proud to support local artist Sarah Fortes Mayer in her retrospective ‘In the blink of an eye’. Leviathan provided life casting services and created a unique fibreglass torso for the exhibition. The exhibition was a brilliant look at the artist’s work and the invisibility of older women.
It is with a great sense of pride that we are celebrating our 5th birthday. From tiny acorns do Giant Oaks grown, and that is certainly the story of Leviathan Workshop. Starting life in a single garage to now producing work seen all over the globe and with incredible clients. All of this is only possible because of our fantastic team who work to create the best for our clients so that our reputation for producing exceptional work has become known far and wide.
Leviathan Workshop were humbled to take home both an award and a highly commended at the Tamworth Business and Community Awards 2018. Taking home a highly commended in the Business to Business category sponsored by The Peel Aldergate and winning the Manufacturing Category presented by Prizm Insurance. A fantastic night and thank you to all involved, none of this is possible without our fantastic team!
Jake and Carrie-Anne were honoured to attend the Staffordshire Business Awards 2018. Bringing home a highly commended in the Leisure category. A brilliant evening and a massive congratulations to all the winners.
The Team were excited to attend the Gala performance of The Lieutenant of Inishmore starring Aidan Turner. The production was fantastic, and it was great to meet up with the cast who were real troopers during their life casting process.
Tamworth’s only local paper came to the workshop to discuss the strange and fantastic work we create. Herald reporter Nick Reid spoke to Carrie-Anne about the work we do and how it all started and grew from a single garage to work that is seen across the globe.
Managing Director Jake Linzey has become guest lecturer at Trinity St David University in Carmarthen. Jake is thrilled at the opportunity to lecture on the BA Theatre Design and Production course in puppetry and lead both a puppet intensive and a practical production project looking at creating a large scale puppetry project with the 2nd year students.

Directors Jake and Carrie-Anne had a fantastic evening at the Gala Perfomance of Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds at the Dominion Theatre and after party at the Rosewood. Incredible work by all the team producing the red weed effects, providing fit-up crew and speciality props. Here they are with Designer Ric Lipson for STUFISH.
